Last Day of school

I thought I was prepared to say goodbye to all my kiddos today, but my emotions got the best of me (shocker, right?) As the busses started pulling away the bus drivers started honking their horns, so we ran out of our building to wave as they drove off. Lots of other teachers were outside to send the kids off, and as I stood there trying to spot my kids through the bus windows, I couldn't help the tears. The kids in this school are so needy in so many ways, and all I could think of as I watched their smiling faces and heard them yelling "Bye Mrs. Goodman!" was that I hope I have done them all some good and made them all feel special.
